Abrahams and Poppers Puppils wins Night Shift 48

It’s another week of Deadlock with the 48th edition of Night Shift, the European side saw Abrahams claim victory just three weeks after their last triumph

After a successful 2–1 qualifier win against Leviathan, the young Silence squad faced Abrahams in the Challenger match. It was a 48-minute marathon in which Abrahams struggled mightily to close out the game against a spirited Silence team that threw everything they had at the match, only to fall just short of victory in the end

Still searching for a permanent sixth player following empty dreams' departure to Leviathan, Sharyk returned for further tryouts with Abrahams and delivered a much stronger performance than the previous week. Meanwhile, Hoot was once again missing from the Buff Enjoyers lineup, forcing MazaG to step in as a stand-in for this final

The first two maps were fairly typical of matchups between Buff Enjoyers and Abrahams, controlled early games where the opposing team managed to stay in contention albeit with difficulty until a final mid-game boss objective ultimately decided the outcome of the entire match

The final game, however, felt like a statement to the rest of the scene, as Abrahams dominated completely. They were greatly aided by flawless performances from arzo Venator and saintmxsm with his surprise Rem pick

With this latest win, Abrahams secured their 23rd Night Shift title, while arzo claimed his fourth DTV MVP award and cosmetical earned his fifth DTV EVP honor.

Following the last North American edition that lacked both qualifiers and Challenger matches due to widespread roster upheaval across the region, ranging from changes to the Melee Creeps core and the disbanding of Work in Progress to multiple shifts within Bird With Clock, we were treated to a showdown between two new lineups for the Challenger game

On one side was Bird With Clock, featuring the additions of Erebus and recon and on the other, the new Melee Creeps roster, fielding Goober, Braeden, oses, and Birdee (all currently on a trial basis). Despite a surprise Victor pick from TANNER, the match proved one-sided, resulting in an easy 1-0 victory for Melee Creeps

One of the highlights of the evening was the appearance of oses during the Night Shift EU event with Silence and Melee Creeps in the Night Shift NA his overall performance was impressive, featuring a very encouraging match against Abrahams as well as good showings against Bird With Clock and Poppers Puppils

After a first map completely dominated from start to finish by Melee Creeps highlighted by an unstoppable Goober with Silver, the second game left Saiah and his squad with plenty of regrets, a completely ill-advised mid-game boss call ultimately cost them the map

The final map was far less competitive, following a similar script to the first but this time favoring Poppers Puppils, who capitalized on their early-game momentum to secure another victory over Melee Creeps

With this latest victory, Poppers Puppils wins his seventh Night Shift, while Goober takes home his first DTV MVP and Lefaa his fourth DTV EVP.
